Cold Brew Ratio Calculator

Scale cold brew to whatever jar you own. Choose 1:5 concentrate to dilute over ice, or James Hoffmann's ready-to-drink recipe at 75 g per litre, set your batch size, and get the grounds, water, and steep schedule. The dilution notes travel with the recipe.

Concentrate or ready-to-drink

Concentrate is flexible: brew strong, keep it a week in the fridge, and dilute each glass to taste, 1:1 for iced lattes, 1:2 for black. Ready-to-drink trades that flexibility for a better black cup; Hoffmann's fine-grind, decant-don't-filter method reads odd but produces a notably clean brew.

Our cold brew concentrate guide covers dilution, storage, and where cold brew's low-acid reputation actually comes from. For an iced coffee that keeps more aromatics, try the iced Clever Dripper recipe in the immersion calculator. The BeanBench app logs cold brew alongside your other methods.
